Hi Cybrarian,
Now is a great time to add certifications to your resume that will make you more marketable in a job hunt and increase your value as a cybersecurity professional.
Today, I want to share some certifications that can help you do just that.
The CompTIA Security+ is a fantastic entry point into the land of certifications. You’ll learn the baseline skills to perform core security functions, which is critical to the start of a successful cybersecurity career. After finishing Cybrary’s SOC Analyst Career Path, you’ll be prepared to take AND pass the Security+ exam.
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) is an excellent credential for new information security practitioners and sets you on the path to become a leader in the field. It also serves as a precursor to one of the most sought after certifications, the CISSP.
CompTIA CySA+ is becoming extremely popular as a respected certification with content focusing on defense or “blue team” techniques. Because this requires a little more experience than the above ones, it is great for practitioners with a few years of experience or those who have previously passed the Security+.
I hope you decide to further your career by investing in yourself and developing your expertise. Cybrary has plenty of resources to help you on your certification journey. Sign up for Cybrary Insider Pro and connect with me or any of the other mentors for guidance.
